We went on an overnight trip in Toyama on August 23 & 24. It was a three hours' ride by an express train. The three following pictures were taken aboard the train, the Thunberbird, on the first day of our trip. My son wears a traditional kimono in these pictures.








Before the inn we stayed in Himi, Toyama prefecture, on the morning of the second day of our trip. The young lady in kimono is a customer of ours, who is also the daughter of a kimono dealer there. My wife bought some good kimonos for herself on the occasion.

On a local train on our way home on Aug. 24. This was the first occasion where Mitaro, my son, saw the sea. It is Japan Sea.
